About Me

As a child, I was enchanted by my mother's closet. Watching her get ready for glamorous parties in the 1950s and '60s - her grace, style, and attention to detail left a lasting impression. Visits to my grandmother's boutique were just as magical. She was a talented seamstress and she would let me play with fabric scraps to make clothes for my dolls. I spent hours with her and the elegant sales assistants, learning to appreciate the art of fashion and the joy of creativity. Those early memories with both my mother and grandmother sparked a deep, lasting love for style and self-expression.

My love for vintage fashion began in the early 1980s - a time when it was far from popular. Over the years, I've developed a deep appreciation for these rare garments, taking pride in preserving their beauty and craftsmanship, carefully laundering and repairing to restore each piece, and gain knowledge when researching about the history of the era's and of designers.

That passion led me to study textiles and work in the fashion industry in South Africa. Years later, I continued my journey in Miami, where I had the opportunity to work closely with a designer and a professional pattern maker - gaining hands-on experience that deepened my understanding of design and construction.

Today, I find joy in dressing and shopping for friends and family, especially my daughter, who continues to inspire me. Together, we share meaningful moments through styling and fashion.

My vintage treasure hunts, lead to contemporary and designer finds, but no matter the era, I always seek out pieces that are unique and timeless. I'm passionate about reducing waste, practicing sustainability, and celebrating style that is both eco-conscious and original.

My philosophy is to honor the past while dressing for the present. Embrace your own style and wear what makes you unique!
